Corvette Dream Giveaway FAQ’s

Is it legal for me to enter the Corvette Dream Giveaway sweepstakes?

This sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. and Canadian residents (except Quebec) and to residents of other countries and U.S. territories and possessions only where offered and permitted by law. You must be 18 years of age or older. Entrants are encouraged to review the sweepstakes Official Rules and are responsible for compliance with all laws.


I did not receive the e-mail containing my tickets, what should I do?

If you have not received an e-mail containing your ticket numbers, please check your spam and junk mail folders. If you are unable to locate the e-mail, please login on the "My Account" page to view your purchase history and re-print your ticket certificate if desired. Please verify and correct your e-mail address if needed. If you are unsuccessful, please use the “Contact Us” page to request additional assistance.


Is the 1967 Corvette all original?

This car has been fully restored and would be classified as #2 condition. # 1 condition is considered museum quality and driving a # 1 car reduces its value. This car can be driven and taken to shows, or just enjoyed without diminishing its value. The Charity has no documentation as to originality, or owner or vehicle history of this beautiful car.


Does the 1967 Corvette still have the original motor?

To the best of our knowledge the motor is original to the car.


Does the 1967 Corvette meet the inspection and emission requirements of my State?

Most states exempt older classic vehicles from these requirements, Kids Wish Network has no knowledge of each individual states’ requirements.


How many miles are on the 1967 Corvette?

This Corvette has had very few miles since its restoration.  The odometer currently reads approximately 57,000 miles. 


Do either of these vehicles come with a warranty?

As with most classic cars, the 1967 Corvette comes with no warranty. The new ZR1 comes with the full factory warranty. We also provide no warranty that you won’t get lots of speeding tickets.


What is value of the 2009 ZR1?

While the sticker price of the ZR1 is approximately $118,000 many dealers have sold them for premiums. Additionally, the one-of-a-kind Hero Edition ZR1 is valued at considerably more. As with any classic car, the lower the production number, the higher the value. Therefore, this particular ZR1 is sure to be a highly sought after collectible that will only increase in value.


How do I obtain a Free Entry?

The procedures for obtaining a Free Entry are outlined in the Official Rules.


What is the Security Code and why is it required when I enter my credit card information?

The Security Code is a three or four-digit code that provides an extra measure of security against credit card fraud. It is required for non-face-to-face transactions such as Internet and mail orders. This code is printed in reverse italics on the back of the credit card following the full account number, near the signature panel.


Why do postage and handling charges apply to mailed tickets?

The preferred ticket delivery method is e-mail, as it is faster and more cost efficient. If you prefer to have your ticket purchase mailed via United States Postal Service we must pass along a small postage and handling charge. This allows us to keep the ticket prices affordable for all entrants.


Do the grand-prize Corvettes have manual or automatic transmissions?

Both cars have manual transmissions. The 1967 is a four speed and the ZR1 is only offered as a six speed manual.


Are my tickets transferable?

No.


Do you accept entries from outside the United States?

We have received entries from all over the world. The sweepstakes is void where prohibited. You should consult your local authorities to determine the rule for your specific location. Thank you for your interest and good luck.


How many tickets will be sold?

There is no limit to the number of entries. The more tickets an entrant has the greater the odds of winning. Good luck!


What percentage of the money raised goes to the cause?

100% of the net proceeds generated by the 2009 Corvette Dream Giveaway will be used to support our Hero of the Month program, benefiting children confined to hospitals across America.


Is my ticket purchase tax-deductible?

As stated in the Official Rules, amounts paid for chances in drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts and consequently do not qualify as charitable contributions. Please see the rules for more information.


Why don’t I get ticket stubs or individually printed tickets?

Our system does not produce individual tickets or stubs as the drawing will be conducted electronically. You should receive two e-mails. One contains your official tickets for the drawing listing the ticket number range. The second serves as your receipt for the ticket purchase.


What is your ticket refund policy?

All requests for refunds on credit card orders will be honored for the duration of the event. Simply call the toll-free number on your entry form or use the “Contact Us” form on our website to request a refund. You’ll receive a confirmation of the credit card refund and your ticket numbers will be canceled promptly. Refunds will not be granted for ticket entrants after December 18, 2009, the date of the Grand Prize Drawing.
